Eyelash Extensions Certification in California

If you want to become a professional eyelash stylist in California, we're here to help. In this article we will show you how to achieve your desires and goals in the beauty industry.

Yes, you can get the eyelash extension certificate in California. The first requirement for this is a license as a cosmetologist according to the Board of Cosmetology and Barbering in California. During your beautician training, you will learn the concepts that will later be helpful in eyelash lengthening training.

In the USA, this beautiful state is the center of the beauty industry. The West Coast is where beauty icons are made and new trends and styles are always on trend.

To obtain a license you must complete a training program from a (BPPE) approved cosmetology school. You must complete at least 1600 hours in this school. As a result of the training, you may get an associate degree or a certificate/diploma from a trade school, specialty beauty school, or junior college.

Now it's time to apply for the exams. You can apply online or submit the application for the hairdressing and cosmetology exam along with the $125 fee. You must be at least 17 years old to apply for the license.

You will be notified by email after the application has been approved. You can then set the time and date for the written and practical exam. You can take both exams on the same day.

There are two test centers for the practical cosmetology test:

  1. Southern CA (Glendale)
  2. Northern CA (Fairfield)

PSI administers the written exam. There are many testing sites in California. The cosmetics exams are available in different languages such as Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese and English. The written test consists of 100 questions that you have to answer within 120 minutes. The time for the practical test is about 4 hours.

After passing both written and practical exams, you will soon get your cosmetics license. After two years from the date of issue, the license expires. This must then be renewed. A fee of US$ 50 must be paid for this. You can also renew the cosmetics license through the Consumer Affairs Department in CA.

After earning a cosmetology license, you can do your eyelash extensions certificate. Several training programs in California offer their services through:

  1. online courses

If you are very busy, you can also take eyelash classes online.

  1. Personal Courses

You can also take physical eyelash extension classes. In these courses you have significantly more learning opportunities.

California is the great state to start your own lash salon. Eyelash extension certification is essential for you to successfully launch a career. So don't waste time. Take your first steps in an eyelash extension training program and realize your dream of becoming an eyelash stylist in California.
