LICENSE

In order to get the eyelash extensions certificate, you must have a cosmetology license issued by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Bureau of Cosmetology.

TRAINING FOR COSMETICS

You must be at least 17 years old and have completed ninth grade. You have to complete 1500 hours of training at a cosmetology school. The first 10 weeks will be spent in the classroom and the rest will be working on clients.

SUBMIT A REQUEST FOR EXAMINATION

You must now submit an online application for the exams through MyLicense, Michigan's online licensing portal. You also have to pay an exam fee.

AFTER PASSING THE TEST YOU WILL RECEIVE THE LICENSE

In Michigan, PSI Exams conducts online cosmetic license exams. After your application has been approved, you will need to apply online for an exam. The exam consists of two parts:

PRACTICAL EXAM

For the practical test you need a doll's head. You have three hours and ten minutes to complete the exam. You must achieve 75 points or more to pass the exam. After the exam, you will receive a result report by email within a week.

THEORY

This exam is administered online via computer. You have 120 minutes and must achieve at least 70%. Immediately after the test you will receive a result report.

After passing the exam, you will receive the license for cosmetology on the day of the theory exam.

RENEW LICENSE

Now you are a licensed cosmetologist. The license is renewed after two years. You can renew this online via the MyLicense portal. The fee for renewal is $25 and is payable online. You will receive a renewal notification email 60 days before your license expires. However, no further training is required for the renewal of the license.

EYELASH EXTENSIONS TRAINING IN MICHIGAN

After you get the cosmetics license, you will get the certificate of eyelash extensions. There are many institutes and salons in Michigan. They offer training both online and onsite.
